Robin Williams wurde nur 63 Jahre alt und litt zuletzt wohl an Depressionen. Williams hatte immer wieder mit seiner Alkoholsucht zu kämpfen und war zuletzt im Juli in Behandlung. Auch wurde die Serie “The Crazy Ones” im Mai nach nur einer Staffel abgesetzt, was Robin Williams wieder tiefer in Depressionen stürzte.
Seine Frau Susan Schneider gab gegenüber CNN folgende Stellungnahme ab:
“Heute Morgen habe ich meinen Mann und meinen besten Freund verloren. Die Welt hat einen ihrer beliebtesten Künstler, ein wunderbaren Menschen verloren. Mein Herz ist gebrochen. Wenn wir uns an ihn erinnern, soll nicht sein Tod im Mittelpunkt stehen, sondern die unzähligen Augenblicke voll Freude und Lachen, die er uns geschenkt hat.”
Jetzt soll eine Autopsie die genaue Todesursache klären.
